Dream Study

“When we are awake we can tune out our feelings, but when we

are asleep we have no choice but to express them should our nervous system become sufficiently aroused to allow us to do so. Feelings are, a processes capable of being touched off by very slight stimuli. In the case of the dreamer, such stimuli generally take the form of the day residue.”

When we sleep many parts of our body are resting, but not our heart. Cardiologists and Sleep Medicine specialists discovered unusually intensive heart activity heart in REM sleep and during dreams. In my study I documented individuals dream patterns by recording their heart rate during REM sleep. This forced the participants to witness their true emotions they may never openly express.
